Jersey Shore Blue
Tesla Takedown Rally Eatontown

On March 23, 2025, Jersey Shore Blue held one of its earliest Tesla Takedown rallies outside the Tesla dealership in Eatontown, New Jersey. This grassroots protest called attention to Elon Musk’s increasing political power, and the movement’s broader concern with billionaire overreach and the privatization of public interest.
Purpose of the Action
Expose Musk’s alignment with anti-democratic and extremist forces
Protest attempts to influence U.S. policy through wealth and corporate platforms
Defend Social Security and other public programs from corporate exploitation
Reaffirm that laws — not individuals — should govern a democracy
Central message:
“Not the rule of Musk — the rule of law.”
What Happened
Participants stood in front of the Tesla sign and along the roadway, holding sharp and personal signs including:
“Granny for the Rule of Law, Not the Rule of Musk”
“Keep Your Greedy Hands Off Our Social Security”
“EVIL: Elitist, Lunatic, Oligarch, Arrogant, Lawless”
“We Are Not Your Market Test Group”
“Musk Is Not Head of State”
The rally included coordinated sign-holding, video documentation, and local engagement. It laid the foundation for what would become an ongoing campaign.
Community Response
Residents driving by engaged with the protest. Several stopped to ask questions, express concern, or signal support. The action was shared across Instagram and began attracting attention from like-minded groups in the region.
Why It Matters
This action marked the beginning of a long-term challenge to private influence over democracy. By targeting a visible corporate symbol — the Tesla dealership — Jersey Shore Blue asserted that corporate money cannot replace public accountability.
